Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has drafted “Regulations Governing the Reporting Method for Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances' Accident” in accordance with amendments to Article 41 of “Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act” (hereinafter referred to as the Act) enacted on January 16, 2019,
Toxic and Chemical Substances Bureau, Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan expressed that, in case of having an accident, handlers of toxic chemical substances and chemical substances of very concern that have been specified and announced as being hazardous by the central competent authority should report the incident to local (municipal, county or city) environmental protection and fire-fighting bureaus within 30 minutes after the incident by dialing 0800066666 (environmental protection and public hazard reporting hotline), 1999 (county/city service hotline), 119 or 110. The purpose thereof is to effectively control the incident and to prevent the happening and expansion of related disasters.
